Turnips and rutabagas and …

Its been a week or so since I last posted, and so much has happened!

There was the huge turnip which I meant to carve out for halloween but never got around to doing (apparently turnips were the original jack’o’laterns)

Purple blue cornmeal was finally baked into bread:

Several hundred pounds of cover crop seed was bought, spread, and disced in

the growing chickens continued their daily feasting on weeds, the remaining watermelons, veggie rejects and the unfortunately ubiquitous brassica caterpillars







Rutabagas were harvested, 900 onions and 15 pounds of garlic planted…


And in the midst of all this, vegetables were eaten, and people were satisfied!
