Welcome

Welcome to the new blog for Uplift Produce, aka former Heifer International Ceres Center, aka Stanislaus Multicultural Health Coalition/King Kennedy Neighborhood Collaborative Farm.

The idea to have a blog came mainly from two wonderful friends of the farm, who suggested a month or two ago that I  1) keep a farm journal and 2) start a blog. So…. TA DA!

I hope this blog will help spread the word about the farm. Here at the farm we aim to produce fantastic sustainably grown produce (and a little meat and eggs on the side), and to involve the greater Modesto community in the farm and encourage healthy eating and active living in all our communities!

On this blog you will find posted event and volunteer day information, updates about the veggies and animals raised on the farm and what is for sale currently on the farm, at the farmers market or through a CSA planned for this winter, pictures and stories from the farm, discussion of farming practices, and lots of other things, because farming is COOL and farming is UPLIFTING!

The next post will give an introduction to the farm.

Thanks for stopping by!  ~ farmer Anna (farm manager)
